Good day, Doc:

This is a good idea - you can also load MSDOS onto a bootable CD.  I 
worked out a way to do that a few years back - see 
http://www.k1ea.com/hints/Creating_a_Bootable_DOS_CD_V%201.5.pdf.  I 
think the free software I used is still available.

The problem that CAN come up is where to put the log and setup files.  
The USB sticks/USB floppy drives can be too slow to use for the log in 
real-time.  If the hard disk is NTFS (typical for newer versions of 
Windows), you can't save the logs there either.

Because of the log storage issues, I find the dual-boot easier to work 
with.  YMMV!  :-)
