A couple of points...
The issue with using software that does not correctly support
a contest is usually not just the scoring, but the tracking of
multipliers during the contest. This is especially important
for multi-op contests like IOTA where the mult station needs to
be up to date with needed mults.
A Cabrillo format would need to be defined for each contest.
Using IOTA as an example again, the position and length of fields
for serial number and IOTA ref would need to be the same
regardless of what logging software was used.
