[UK-CONTEST] HELP .Writelog + IC706

Does anyone have any experience of using Writelog to control an IC706 MkII. please.?..or any other Icom rig for that matter.

My 706 doesn't respond at all to Writelog, but when using a different test program it works perfectly.
I'm using a home -brew CI-V interface, could that be reacting differently to Writelog?
