Hi

The following appeared on the TR and cq-contest reflectors, and
I thought some of you here might be interested. Someone did tell
me that you are careful with your money round here, forget who
it was now!

Please note, an advert this ain't. I have already QSYed to WL a
year or more now, although like all changes, I always look over
my shoulder with some sadness. Now in the unlikely event that TR
ever goes Windows, I could probably learn to live with it again!

Plenty of loggers support IARU/WRTC, so let's see a good G
turnout. You won't know which OJ call is Fred and Andy (
naturally), but I'm sure they will welcome plenty of G QSOs.

Oh, while I'm here, I believe Tim/G4VXE will shortly post
configuration data to the hfcc site for the use of TR and WL in
IOTA. It may well be that data for other loggers will also be
available. Don/XTT and Tim will no doubt advise as appropriate.

The latest version of TRLog Free has been released. TRFree
Version 1.06 is based on the very latest TRLog Version 6.69 and
is fully functional except it only supports a limited list of
contests. It includes full logging support of WRTC 2002
including scoring and special considerations for the "B"
computer not being allowed to connect to a radio. Cabrillo is
not supported for WRTC at this time. The WRTC committee accepts
logs directly as a TR file (LOG.DAT).

A readme file with a detailed change history is included in the
package or you can read it at
http://www.qth.com/tr/revhistory.html. Many enhancements have
been made in just the past few months, so the readme file is the
best source of documentation for them. Please e-mail me if you
have questions.

You may download a copy at http://www.qth.com/tr.
