Clive,
The GS35b has a coaxial 'base' and the easiest way of mounting it for GG
operation is in an aluminium ring turned with a recess to fit the grid ring
on the valve. See the web site of OZ1DPR for some photos of such an arrangement.
By spacing the ring below the chassis on pillars, the grid compartment can
be blown with a chimney above the chassis and resting on the chassis.
Connections to the cathode and heaters are by clamps and not by direct soldering.
