My certificate for SO 12hour SSB arrived today too. Is it just me or is the quality of these bits of paper going down hill? A photocopied (badly) certificate on poor quality paper, which is about as inspiring as a used tea bag! Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the contest, but when you compare this certificate with the ones i have had from DARC, ARRL, CQ etc it really stands out as how not to do it. I know cost is an issue, but my wife, who runs her own training business, can produce high quality certificates on a simple HP850c at very low cost. Maybe there is an economy drive on to help pay for a certain arrogant RSGB paid officer's salary increase this year?
Off topic? - I don't think so, if it puts people off putting entries in. I will certainly be taking a good look at the RSGB company accounts this year to see where the (reducing) subs are going.
Rant over, flack jacket on.....................
