Last year I proposed a middle way: that paper logs should still be
listed in the main table, but should not be given a numbered place
because the scores cannot be checked as thoroughly as electronic logs
now can.
That seems to offer the best of all worlds: it doesn't discourage
beginners; it gives them a gentle reminder; and it isn't unfair to other
entrants whose electronic logs have been more thoroughly checked.
