>some time back there was a bit of a discussion on Telephone pick up.
Someone said that the BT filters were no longer available, >also mentioned
a BT phone that was "bomb proof". Trouble is all I can remember is the
quote, So if it was you can you please let >me have the details of the BT
Bomb proof phone.

I was the one who asked the question. The bomb proof phone
is the Relate 200 which BT used to give out as the standard
rental phone. It's extremely good RF-wise, and some years
ago I bought two more. One is on permanent loan to my
neighbour, whose husband was G3NPU so she's a bit more
tolerant of RFI problems than would otherwise be the case.

My rental phone packed up a few months ago, and I didn't
want to be down to my last Relate 200 with no other options.
Unfortunately no-one could recommend a bomb-proof phone
so what I ended up doing was buying a digital cordless phone,
the BT Synergy 600. I did some tests and have done a few
contests since purchase and there haven't been any RFI
problems.

BT don't do the Relate 200 any more so if you're at a boot sale
or similar and see one I would recommend buying it.
