I agree with Jim (M0CKE) basically he is saying that the rules should
produce a level playing field.  However, I have never seen anything produced
about the use of Amplifiers.  My cynical thought process suggests to me that
give a man an amplifier capable of lots of watts then lots of watts is what
goes up the co-ax.  It is for that reason that I enter only the Low power
sections however, there (in some RSGB contests) I find antenna limitations.
Why????

It used to be the aim to compensate for low power with improved antennas but
the RSGB Contest committee seem to be against this. Can you explain why?
