Hi Jonathan and gang.
Very well done, I heard you Sunday afternoon trying to get
contacts on 21 MHz. With your serial number over the 600 mark
and was very envious. I managed just 231 qso's with none
on 21 or 28 MHz. Seems the signals were jumping over the top
of England. Could hear the rest of the World working Poland
and couldn't even hear a whisper from SP signals.
Didn't have an antenna for top band and the 80/40 trap Inv
Vee dipole at 30 foot up loads ok through the ATU but it
doesn't get up to the antenna :-(( For the other bands I
have a multi wire dipole at 16 foot high fed with one feeder.
Rig is a Kenwood 850s 100 Watts out most bands. Have to
turn it down to 80w sometimes to stop the laptop doing it's
own thing.
Operating time about 11 Hours. I have to eat and sleep and
then of course there was ROPOCO to have a go at on Sunday morning,
enjoyed Saturday through till 23.30, Sunday was very hard going with
only 20 Mtrs still producing contacts.
Cheers to All George G4EBK.
