Managed to work the contest on Sunday following a long day at work on
Saturday.
Conditions seemed poor although managed KH6, VK, ZL and AP but no real
quantity
of DX here. Bands were very busy with lots of EU Qs to keep things going.
Even running 40w to a dipole you can have great fun in this type of contest
because you can work
everybody and it keeps the interest up. Logging was with N1MMLogger which
now has two
MMTTY decoding windows and works very well.
I have commented before that the RSGB Contest Committee should consider
this type of structure to revitalise some of our ailing contests. It seems
hard to drum up interest in a
'work all British postal districts' type contest where as our EU friends
seem to have no problem
opening out their contests to much wider participation.
Thanks for the Qs.
Jim
