It's quite funny how the reflector reports for this contest mention some
sort of part-participation - restricted time, bands, power, etc. Given the
previous thread on this reflector, this must add some weight to the 'contest
within a contest' argument - one which I was against, but may be persuaded
to join. I too was only able to devote 5 hours or so but thought it was good
fun. I think conditions were well down on 80m and 160m - I listened there,
but did not operate. 40m was great. My aerials are all down at 25ft or below
(even the 402CD) so I didn't expect much. I did notice that I was
consistently beaten in any fight by Italian stations giving 599 100. Make of
that what you like!
