66th Commonwealth Contest - 8/9th March 2003

Hello all

During BERU next month, GB5CC will be QRV on 2 bands 
simultaneously, for the whole 24 hours, from the GM7V contest 
station near Inverness.    The operators Chris GM3WOJ and
Gavin GM0GAV will try to make it as easy as possible for you
to work GB5CC for a multiplier - if things are quiet we will be 
happy to QSY if asked, but if things are busy we will indicate 
when you can expect to hear us on the band(s) that you need.

On 20,15 and 10m we will be able to work U.K. stations on
backscatter, so if you are using a beam antenna please find the best
direction for backscatter signals (if you are new to HF propagation,
turn your antenna through 360 degrees and you'll be surprised where
the strongest signals are coming from - almost always not the direct
path)        For example, on 20m on Sunday morning at about 0800, 
GB5CC will be beaming S.W. for the long-path into VK/ZL/Pacific,
and our signal should be strongest at that time from the S.W., if you 
are in the U.K.
