Score 920. 35 QSOs on 80M, 44 on 40
Rig K2 10W  Inverted Vee dipoles supported by Roach Pole
Last time I entered this contest I did 80M in the morning and 40M in the 
afternoon. Didn't spot the rule change and hence I wasted half hour on 80M at the 
end of the morning session instead of going on 40M.
Seemed to be plenty of activity on 40M but conditions on 80M dropped during 
second hour
Field too near Railway and Power lines so had high noise level. Some callers 
could just be heard but not copied.
Field invaded by 2 horses during morning through the gate which had swung 
open. I decided to leave them until the lunch interval. Then lowered the inverted 
Vees before attempting to chase them out. One went out quite quickly but the 
other one thought it was a game and took some effort to shift.
Had a job to read the Laptop screen in the bright sunlight so erected a 
canvas chair over the table which helped.
Noticed the Cabrillo log was short of exchange received so emailed Paul, who 
quickly produced an upgraded version of SDcheck.
Must find a better site next year!
