[UK-CONTEST] IOTA Results 2002

Thanks to Don/Justin and all in the HFCC and the IOTA contest section for
the hard work getting the results together and organising the whole
enterprise . The anticipation is almost as exciting as the contest itself -
well almost ! I think I agree with Stewart- GM0F- the sunny Med seems to
have stolen the show last year - 12hr SSB section notwithstanding. I'd like
to think they had the better HF propagation. Returned from a "Round the
World" trip last month - fascinating experiencing HF conditions on the other
side of the Earth - although didn't do too much operating. I recommend Fiji
from a radio point of view as well as a relaxing place to plan expeditions.
Got quite a few odd looks going through the airport checkins there with a
ski bag (full of Titanex aluminium poles of course) but will be heading
North to GM again this July for IOTA to brave the clegs and midges. Wind is
a bonus sometimes.....
May try online logging this year !

73 Richard (hon.sec. G3PPG)
