Sounds like you are trying to install an upgrade, without a full version
installed; this won't work. Get the last full version as directed by K5DJ,
and
then download 10.40J upgrade, and install "over the top".


btw I recommend that you ignore the free from entry feature in 10.40J for
the time
being, at best it's a prototype. The other features are solid however, and
the VFO
swap is ideal for SO2R.
