[UK-CONTEST] BPFs

Hi All,

In a bid to upgrade my station (from an FT-847) I have just bought an
IC-756PRO. Upon using it for the first time in anger for the CW club
contest this week, I was suprised to find that I could hear various BC
stations within the amateur bands. Some investigative work shows that
the problem is coming from the MW BC stations sited at the Brookmans
Park TX which is about 5 miles from here.

So, I have two questions: 

1) Is this a known issue with the IC-756PRO? My FT-847 doesn't suffer
with this at all and I wonder if my PRO has a fault.

2) If the PRO is within spec, it looks llike I need to buy a filter. One
of the ICE series looks to be a good bet. I am thinking of either the
BCB series or if I am feeling flush a BPF as this could be a move
towards SO2R. Any comments or alternative suggestions ?
