Methinks you misunderstand the system. All scores are redetermined as a
percentage of the winning score (which, by definition, becomes 100). So 102
(winning score) becomes 100, and similarly for all below. Therefore these
are not "lost points" at all. It's to equalise the potential from each of
the various events. Hope this is clear.

Having had a quick look at the scores for the April CW session, an odd fact
was noticeable.

Every station down to position 25 lost 2 points, then every station down to
position 73 lost 1 point, then all those below had perfect logs. It seems to
be a quite remarkable coincidence, well worthy of note - or has there been a
transcription error somewhere?

Well done for getting the results out quickly anyway.
