Paul,

I suggest you don't bother! I blew up the fuse in 12v out in my FT1000MP
several years ago; it seems far too much hassle to replace the fuse. I just
use a separate small psu.

Subject: [UK-CONTEST] Anyone changed the fuse for the 13.5V out on
aFT1000MP?

Major disappointment in the G0WAT household when coming to plug new
Microham MicroKeyer in...the 13.5V out on the back of the FT1KMP is
supplying no volts :(

Has anyone changed the fuse for this output before? and (if you will
forgive the idiocy) what type of fuse is it?...I will not pretend to
know anything about electronics, but the manual appears to suggest it is
a 0.5A Fast Blow.

I can probably liberate one from work tomorrow, but can anyone advise
whether there is only one type/size of 0.5A Fast Blow...what it may have
as a designator on it (would 0.5T be correct?)..

Sorry for the simple (to some) questions, but what ya gonna do?

Armed with this I can get a replacement before I start pulling apart the
radio (gawd 'elp us) to locate the PA Unit.
