Soapbox : Band conditions rather poor for me. This year was a European contest with a few
USA qso,s thrown in. Auroral signals on Sunday eve up here in the North of
England. So missed the midwest and west stuff that others further south managed
to work. Still was my most productive qso totals ever in the 20yrs have been
taking part and most points scored also, so continuing to improve.
My plan was to break 1000qso,s and 500k points and did both. Got to put up
beverages again as realy missed the weaker stuff calling.
N1MMLogger was fun to use again. Good value for the money :-))
Radio was Yaesu FT1000mp and Alpha linear.
Antenna was much modified Titanex (stays aloft now), plus Flag rx antenna.
Thanks to John G3LZQ for use of his qth again and to his XYL Trixie for her
logistic support (food and drink).
The start and end time is much better now. it used to be 2200 start
time on the Fri eve and now you get plenty of darkness operating time
(I used to end on Sunday morning) as the old end time was 1600 Sun.
I look forward to meeting you all in the next one. Lets have some more
entries as we need the competion to keep us on our toes.
