Hello all

Greetings from near Wellington, N.Z. I'm staying temporarily in a rented
QTH, so only able to put up a 20m vertical for BERU this year. Conditions
seemed fairly good, although did not work any 'new' stations from the UK,
just the regulars.

Total = 83 QSOs

Real pleasure to work G0CKP, G3BJ, G4PIQ/P, G3AB, G4BUO, G3VZT, G3LAS and
VP9/G3TXF on 40m - sorry you had to strain to hear my feeble signal - 80w
via 1000MP internal tuner to 20m vertical. Just proves that 40m is a good DX
band here in ZL. Also heard (at around UK sunrise 0618 approx) G0CKP, G4BUO,
G3GLL, G3BJ and G3KZR on 80m, but no amount of frantic fiddling with an
ancient KW E-zee match would make my tiny signal audible on that band !!

A belated thanks to the Committee for awarding me the Commonwealth Medal
last year - much appreciated and sorry I was on my way here and missed the
HF Convention.

Good to work many old friends, including Gavin GM0GAV and Keith 9M2/GM4YXI.
