Firstly, in the OOPS dept - I came on last night, expecting the contest to
have been then...... Worked 2 stns before the penny dropped!!!!!!!
Band was very busy, even before the contest - I ended up around 3693 as the
highest clear freq. Intended to work first; sweep band later.
Started very well tonight; like a steam train in fact....... Then, about 40
mins in, G4BUO parked himself far too close; and anyone below S9 could not
be heard. I noted that I moved up to 750Hz LF; but sorry Dave - you were
far too close - Cheers mate - I owe you one.
Ended up with 155Q's - no dupes. I know loads of weaker stations were
calling, sorry, but with Dave, it was impossible. Also G3SVD came up 1KHz LF
towards the end, when in fact I went S&P.
Do we need more band for this contest - is proving very popular??
