contests, there appears to be rather a lot of these "less than ideal" =
entrants or potential entrants, most probably rather few of them being =
newly licensed.  People are in any rate complaining that the average age =
of RSGB members is approaching an unpolitically correct level.  A lot of =
these guys operate regularly in contests and they would be missed by the =
most vociferous contributors to this forum.  I thought the aim was to =
maintain and encourage participation and entry levels, not create =
barriers or write people off.
