What an amazing weekend, what brought that about? These things always
seem to happen when I decide to take a back seat on a contest, I'd just
intended to have an odd poke around and pick up the odd new one. In the
end I spent rather a lot more time than I intended and ended up with 25
new DXCC (It's rather easier when you don't have so many to start with!-
now up to 145 this year). 10M was amazing, there was an awful lot more
that couldn't hear me, at one point it seemed I could make a dxcc with
what I couldn't work! What was amazing was listening to caribbean
stations being called by YB5 and hearing both. Some irritating get
aways, ZP, OA, CP all S9 on the meter but they could never hear me (
even when just repeatedly cqing), yet 9j2kc not even moving the meter
comes back to me first time.

I didn't get up particularly early on sunday but 160 and 80 seemed in
good shape too - I was really too late for the Atlantic stuff but was
still pleased with the FP on 160. - too many choices aarrgh!! (And
then all that US stuff at S9+20 in 7.1 to 7.2 - good ol' Ofcom, ta very
much).

So, only about 140 QSOs but selectively looking for new stuff, and very
profitable it was too. Please can we have the same condx for the WAE
RTTY......

Cheers
