[UK-CONTEST] GI1W claimed score ?

If I were wanting to win a comtest of any kind I would want to maximise my opportunities to score points. This may not involve an armchair, but my seat would be located to maximise points (probably on the top of a hill). I would also have beaters running round raising grouse which I didn't initially see. Contesting isn't DX-ing.

I'm glad I saw this. I was wondering if I'm the only one who thinks
that the DXcluster is the worst thing ever to happen to radio and
particularly to contests.
Whatever happened to the fun of the chase, winkling out weak stations,
carefully tuning looking for something new to work.
It's like someone going out hunting grouse on the moors, having their
armchair delivered to the top of the hill and sitting there passively
while someone else runs around catching the grouse and bringing them
along to be shot by the sloth in the chair. OK I'm sure you'll get lots
of grouse that way but its not really the point is it!
DX on a plate sir? No thanks ;-)
Cheers
Andy
