Hi all..............
As Dick GU4CHY was entering the 20m HP category, I thought I would have a go
in the LP section on the same band. I had thought about doing 10m, but there
just wasn't enough activity to make it worthwhile.
I didn't want to call CQ, as that may have impacted on Dick's effort. I
therefore did all this just as S&P.

Missed a few good ones, such as D4B, V51/DL something, 7X0AD, S9B and A45XR,
but the pile-ups were just way too large to have a chance.
Also missed out on Zone 2, but only heard VE2III there, and his pile-up was
big.
However, I was pleased to work VK9AA and then VK6WL straight after, and
VK1AA soon after them.
Got a bit confused with UK9AA as well, as I began to wonder about my Rx
abilities! Mind you, I may still find that I was!
I also missed out on a few easy-ish ones, such as LA, OZ, LX, but conditions
weren't good enough for me to work them. Surprised to get G6PZ, and had to
beam W to get them. Couldn't get GM2Z to hear me at all.
GJ2A were very weak here when I worked them, but they got louder later on.
I was aiming for 300+ Q's, but the band died out before I could manage that.
I really should have got on Saturday morning, instead of leaving it till the
chores had been done.
I wish a few less folk would rely so heavily on the partial-check files, as
although a few came back with GU0SUP, they then asked if I was GU0PSP or
GU4YOX! Only once did I resort to the straight key to emphasise the call!
I did get asked to QSY to 15m for a mult a few times, and then created a
buffer to send SRI SB ONLY, which seemed to sort it!
Great to see GU so well represented, and well done to the GJ2A team too!
