Similar experiences here. Just under 30 QSOs for a few hours operating with an IC706 and a 6m wire vertical with three ground radials right next to the doublet feeder.
Lots of winkling out weak stations only to find out that they were calling WAG. Best DX heard was VR2 and ZD7 but both calling WAG. Nothing else further than UA6 to the east, a couple of Ws to the west.
