At the risk of boring some readers to tears, perhaps I could sum up my own
findings.
I have corresponded with the good guys on the N1MM reflector, and they
really have tried hard to help resolve several issues. However, when it
comes to the F11 wipes issue, it is very clear that someone who has never
used it, simply cannot appreciate its utility. It's just one of those
nuggets that once used, one would never want to be without. That is the
perspective of a WL user of course. Having been historically a TR freak, I
feel the same about the mode switch issue, which is s-t-i-l-l not available
in WL, but is in N1MM. Having devised a sort of work-around for that one, it
is rather unlikely that I would trade it for the absence of F11 wipes in
N1MM.
Just goes to show how different we all are. That much was brought home to me
by Dave's post extolling CT like progs. Frankly, it was CT that kept me away
from computer logging until 1998, that's how much I disliked it! Of course
it was the first, and only game in town for a considerable time, and I must
give it credit for that if nought else.
Chacun a son goute as they say in these parts!
