Tough going in mediocre conditions with a punk antenna, not to mention a
punk operator!

861 QSOs

55 states+provinces ( missed WY,ND,DC; nothing new there then)

142,065 points

Noticeable that the more northerly latitudes were well down, with the flux
in the 90s and the A index as high as 20ish. Thus VE4-7 ( 8, you jest?) were
particularly difficult, and even the usually well placed VY2s quite weak. No
doubt the same phenomenon would have been noticed from the US/VE side, since
it was clear that e.g. HA/9A/S5/OK had the rest of us on the ropes from Eu.
Interesting that as- and after- the band closed to the US on Saturday, that
the aforementioned southerly Eu stations were S9 here, until well after
21:00. What's that all about then? This was noticeably different on Sunday;
it's a funny old game! Things might get worse before they get better :-((

Station:

TS870S+amp. 400 watts

88ft doublet at average 20ft a.g.l.

Writelog 10.5x
