[UK-CONTEST] SSB CC

I think the problem for northern stations is only during the half Daylight
contests such the central Midlands QSO Party (AFS), the rest such as the CC
and 160m contests are mostly during darkness until May onwards when we up
North don't bother again with 80m.
Whilst its still daylight in say Leicester at 14Z anyone in that area
has a good number of ground wave Qs available out to say 70-80 miles, to
last until dusk
In my case here I have very few Qs within 300miles and most QSOs are
therefore LOW angle E layer using a typical angle of 11 degrees to hit
Oxford!! until 1530Z.
For me to have a chance in AFS from here I would need a 4 square for
the first 90 minutes and a 3el yagi after that and then I probably wouldn't
get in the top three, is it any wonder why GMs in general don't bother with
Daylight 80m contests.
