The figure 1,046 is the number of other entrants who have
already sent in a log and which include your call-sign as having
been worked.
1046 versus your actual 1400 means that about 75% of all the
stations that you worked in the contest have already submitted
an entry (with your call correctly logged).
This analysis allows CQWW to target missing large logs for
chasing up - a) to add to the data-base fo QSOs as much as
possible and b) in case any important logs have been sent in
but have gone missing.
