[UK-CONTEST] Complete recording of CQWW CW 2005 anyone?

A bit of market research that only this reflector can help me with. I'm currently working with WiNRADiO in Melbourne on a large monitoring job for a UK Government Department and will shortly have a quantity of the latest G315 9kHz - 1.5GHz receivers at my (temporary) disposal, pending delivery to the customer. These are configured as 9 receivers affiliated to a PC and two banks of these could record the entire CQWW CW Contest on 6 bands, amounting to a little over 100Gb (distribution on a USB HDD is foreseen). The original time and channel frequency are fully preserved and displayed as the recording is played, as in a real time situation. Using the WiNRADiO software demodulator with wide choice of modes and channel bandwidths, one could spend a virtually unlimited amount of time browsing through the whole contest, following your own progress and seeing what you missed, who cheated, all the band moves and how the big(ger) guns made their winning scores. Sounds quite addictive to me and could also be used by adjudicators for spot checks on doubtful QSOs.

Apart from being a fun project, I'm looking at this principally as a way of exposing the WiNRADiO software defined receiver range in the ham arena, but there are some costs that would need to be recovered.

Questions:

Any interest in such a project?
Would anyone pay actual money for a copy of the recording and demod software?
Any suggestions on antennas, bearing in mind they would probably have to be omnis?
Any other related ideas?

Replies to me please at peter at tilgate.co.uk rather than on this reflector, unless of general interest.

Thanks for the bandwidth and regards to all

Peter G3LET
