Hi list
This is a tad off topic, so please indulge me.
I'm posting on behalf of a local who is not here subscribed.
Said local, has a young(ish) son, who likes to download lots of music and
games, and persuaded the OM that a 2Mbit connection was de rigeur. The OM
said OK, but you pay half, as I only need a 1Mb line! The OM now has
horrendous RFI into his receiver on a few bands, only cured by dissing the
line itself, not the router or modem. I have a 1Mb line from the same
exchange at about the same Dx- approx a quarter of a mile-, and zero RFI. Of
course I use a wireless router, having previously had horrendous RFI with a
wired router, albeit on dial-up even. The problem s-e-e-m-s to be the line
itself not the router, although I personally seriously doubt if this is
really the case.
Your experience is solicited. Excluding jnr op has apparently been ruled
out!
