Tom, check to see if your motherboard has USB2 'on board'. If you don't
have the handbook for the motherboard then have a look on the
Manufacturer's website for the info.
On my PC the 2 USB ports at the rear were USB 1.1 and the 2 at the front
which came off of connectors on the motherboard were USB2.0
If you dont have any USB2.0 ports you could buy a USB2 PCI card for about
£15 inc vat & postage.
