[UK-CONTEST] GB5HQ 20m/CW thoughts

Dear UK-Contest Reflector,
We made 2,000+ QSOs on 20mtrs CW from GB5HQ,
courtesy of G3TXF's North Devon contest-site and his
three mono-banders at 80 feet, and courtesy of
G3WVG's great efforts to grapple with the software
(and no sleep!).
Main thought (apart from poor DX-propagation) is
that we had a big increase in the number of UK
stations in the log, compared to last year! Fantastic!
Thanks everybody for responding to the pleas for
QSOs ! It will be interesting to see the stats.
Dave/YMC - our signal would have varied enormously
as we were switching between any of three different
directions at different times.
Much of the night-time DX (North America) was coming
in from South-West.
Congrats to the organisers - another mammoth score!
Adrian - they don't understand! No-one competes in the
Olympics without years of training. Good luck!
Tony - I think 20mtrs/CW made more QSOs than any
other GB5HQ band/mode. Hmm.
