[UK-CONTEST] Keyer or Keyboard? (Longish)

It appears I sit quite comfortably along with the rest of you OFs in that I
have limited keyboard skills. I am no touch typist! So like you, I take
comfort from having my paddle available to augment the computer keying
capacity of Writelog.

That said, I have long taken the stance that in contests my paddle is merely
a safety net, which I can fall upon when my limited keyboard skills fail me.
Fortunately, having taken this stance for quite some time, I find that my
limited keyboard skills fail me only rarely these days.

Like Clive, I rarely use F keys, instead relying heavily upon Writelog's
"intelligent" or "context sensitive" enter key. Those who have not yet
tried this feature really should!

These days, about the most compelling reason to give up our paddles as the
primary input tool for contesting is that SO2R is utterly incompatible with
it. SO2R is only viable if the brain gets free time and that free time is
provided when the computer does the sending.
