OK thanks to Peter, Simon and Mark and Fred. Haven't a clue what the 5.1
thing is about but the key-ring one looks good. I could probably leave the
mH Keyer on the internal sound card and just plug the speakers in to the
external one. Certainly would save fitting another internal sound card.

Loads of keyring-sized USB sound cards on Ebay - this one for less than 4
quid, for instance. Probably no need to by a Creative Labs jobby.....
