I must echo the comments by Chris ( G3SJJ) regarding the inability of some newish contesteers to cope with "highspeedjoineduptalking" in contest exchanges.It is probably an item which will improve with practice, but certainly those experienced in typing in calls and exchanges on CW will find SSB quite a doddle.
Of course paper logging will also slow things down
