Hi Chris,
I run win 98se and it will run with 32M of memory ,however XP will need at
least 64M to run quick enough ,and you will find that you will need more mem
than ever to run telnet.
You may look at the programs running on your PC in background ,and you will
be amazed at how much mem is lost running these, maybe old programs. Like
the Microsoft Office tool bar / yahoo messenger  for example A good wipe out
of all programs in startup may help except the important ones hi...
