[UK-CONTEST] Netgear DG834G / GT ADSL WiFi Router

Hi Justin,

As I think you know, I have the Netgear DG834GT here, and we had problems
with it during CQWW SSB.

Subsequent work has totally fixed the problem on all bands. Basically, I had
a long house internal network hanging on the phone line, which was evidently
acting as a big antenna. I've had the BT master socket relocated to the
point at which the phone line emerges from the ground. So now, when I want
to operate contests, I can disconnect the house phone network from the line
by removing the front panel of the master socket, and plugging the modem and
the wireless phone base station directly onto the BT line without all its
hang-ons. I also have a torroid on each of the two leads from the Wireless
Router (I have not checked it without these attached).

The antennas are, as you know, some way from the house, but it is
completely clear at full power on all bands 10-160.

Good luck

Don, G3BJ
