If true, this is bonkers. Hutch edited the Bulletin, later Radcom,
remotely for very many years.
It's also a shame that since G4JVG left, there aren't any licensed hams
at HQ who could be described as active. A couple of my locals went up to
Potters Bar a few weeks ago to operate but were unable to use the beam,
apparently it has some sort of fault. As they remarked, this gives a
very bad impression to hams visting from overseas.
Thanks to the volunteer team we've put together for GB5HQ we're no
longer reliant on a station at Potters Bar for the IARU contest, but I'd
like to think that the station could put out a reasonable signal in
other contests, and outside of contests.
To say nothing of the tower which was sold to the Society about 15 years
ago but has remained ever since lying on its side rusting away at the
rear of the building....
