Anyone have one of these machines? ( I,II,III?)

 If so could you kindly tell me if it is possible to switch the monitor off
in CW mode. This can't be done on the 7400, which is a pain in the backside
for some styles of SO2R contest operation; the monitor  can be disabled in
SSB mode. I guess the vast majority of users could care more about this, but
to become a contest grade radio, this is a required function i.m.o. Seems it
wouldn't be hard to mod., but not sure I want to get inside until it breaks!
