Gentlemen,

Thank you all for your help and advice.

  SVL & RLZ:
I'm very happy with WL, for me it does far more than N1MM when it comes to configuring plus I prefer the feel and the operation more than N1MM.
I have tried both and I can't get N1MM to do what I need like making modules for specific contests to name just one thing.

I'm not knocking N1MM I know lots use and it does the trick for them, it's just that WL is my personal choice.
WL works without any problems at all when run through the serial port on COM port 1 and keying CW, it's just when I use the laptop portable I have to resort to USB.

  FKA:
When the rig is off, it still does it now and again, so I'm afraid it's not that.

  NKC:
I have the USB1, I don't think they sell it anymore, it's been replaced by the USB2.

Once again thanks for all the input, I will concider everyone.

  Berni,

Yes. It wrecked our IOTA effort last year and uH finally acknowledged a problem about Aug time 2005. But its clear the problem (along with other problems) lies in WL. Dump WL and go to N1MM, its better and free!

Has anyone experienced problems in sending CW using a combination of WriteLog and MicroHam USB interface box?

Sometimes and only sometimes garbled CW comes out when calling CQ or giving an exchange. It's not RF getting back in as I have run this without the rig transmitting.

  Any help is much appreciated.

  Cheers,

  Berni
