Roger, there is a simple test here. You list the callsigns and people
confirm what they were running. Those who don't confirm, or whose group
can't confirm, are under suspicion. I wonder if we count the 200w from
Ft1kD or MK5s? or is the 2 silent as in NFD!?
If G3SJJ is on your list, forget it. Absolutely and categorically no
amplifier switched on. FT1kMP at full output gives between 100 and 112w,
I guess there is negligible loss on 100m of Westflex H100 at 3.7MHz, so
power at the antenna = 100-112w. Signed G3SJJ
147 Qs here. FT1kMP and dipole at 17.5m, ends at 16m. N1MM logger. Had a
real ball seeing just how fast I could get through a QSO. Many times I
had completed the contact before even touching the keyboard. I had
programmed the voice keyer in N1MM but which such frenetic activity I
didn't use it apart from the occasional CQ whilst sipping a glass of
Haut Medoc brought back from a recent trip to France. Ran for first hour
then S&P, lost interest after 10 mins of that so read emails and then
back to S&P. All signals were loud, but readability depending on the
amount of QRM at the time. The only frustration I encountered was whilst
S&Ping, one station insisted on not giving his a callsign after each
QSO. Also found a variant of the SD factor. "Thank you for the 001" or
whatever. Plus a few Fife and Niners!
Good fun anyway. Chris G3SJJ
