That's interesting, because many contest rules have followed the CQ example
in recent years and put a limit on the Open categories of 1500 Watts (so the
US doesn't get disadvantaged I guess). Belgium has had a 2kW contest
facility for many years now, while still retaining a 150 watt limit for
day-to-day stuff (I guess that may have changed by now).
