[UK-CONTEST] 80m CC SSB on Monday

The posting from Steve GW4BLE and a number of private emails suggest
there may have been a handful of stations in the 80m CC contest on 
Monday who forgot to check the rules. The 80m CC events are different
from AFS: the maximum power that can be used in an 80m CC event is 100
watts. It may be that a couple of stations were still in AFS mode, as
there were a few signals that stood out from all the others, in the
generally dreadful 80m conditions.

Please pass this message on to your club members: the success of the 80m
CC contests and their widespread support depends on everyone playing by
the rules and sticking to the power limit. We on the HFCC need to be
able to concentrate on checking each contest and getting the results out
quickly, and not be diverted by questions of who might or might not be
breaking the power rule.

Note that 100w maximum means 100w, not 'exciter power' since several
rigs can run 200w and some version of the FT9000 can run 400w. So if
you're using a Mark V or similar, make sure to turn the power down to
100 watts and help to preserve the integrity of these contests.
