Managed to tune up and down the band for a couple of hours  and worked 73 stations, all S+P.  Using a 40/80 loaded dipole at 6m agl running N-S with 100w allowed me to work everyone I could hear fairly easily.  Managed to track down a source of wideband noise in the house to a new water feature with a mains pump.  Needless to say it's on it's way back to the shop!  Apart from that it was very enjoyable and an encouragement to get on and work at my CW.  CW training software is great these days but does not instil the same adrenalin rush as when I answer someone's CQ 'live' on the bands!  Thanks to all for the Qs, it was so much fun I am off to inflict my CW on some poor unsuspecting person on 20m.
Looking forward to next weekend when I can put in a full-time effort.
