I left it a bit late to grab a frequency, and so ended up on top of some weak German QSO. I was concerned it would get stronger during the contest, but eventually they all went away. Managed to hold the frequency the whole four hours. Thanks to those who QSY'ed when asked !
A few jammers and the like, but final score 3630 (363 good QSOs) with hourly totals:
148 - 83 - 82 - 50
Good level of activity and, although I have not done the analysis I think there were a lot more non-G3's than in the CW leg. Lots of former class-B licensees, which was great, and quite a few M3's.
I tried the dipole at a lower level than usual - be interested to see how the score compares.
Usual equipment: FT1000MP MkV with linear, dipole (at just 55 ft) and 90 ft vertical.
Thanks to all for the QSOs
