Yes, we noticed the same in the Midlands, certainly the last 30 minutes was
abysmal only GM and DL stations from 5:30 (and that chap from Devon). Lee
will no doubt do his contest thing and collate the scores. Watch this space.
For those of you who thought I sounded "rough", you were right. I spent all
day in bed yesterday (and this morning) with the flu and I'm still only half
here. A couple of times during the contest, I floated "away" (!) and forgot
callsigns, serial numbers and all sorts!
My voice nearly clicked back to zero a couple of times. I used N1MM's voice
keyer to hold me together a few moments whilst I fought it back!
I could only keep my concentration for the first 120 minutes, after that
life became a general haze and I had to go S&P. Such a shame, I'd been
really looking forward to this.
233 from Solihull, small linear and loop at 20 feet, only heard GM and DL
stations from 5:30 (and that chap from Devon!)

It started off OK for me - located on South Coast - but the lack of a
half-decent antenna and amplifier shows in the claimed score and rate from
here:
202 valid QSOS's and these hourly totals of 100 - 56 - 28 - 18.
Rig = FT1000MP 100W + half wave dipole at 30ft, bent around the garden.
Thanks to all for QSO's.
Interesting rapid change in propagation in last 45 mins or so of the
Contest - anyone else notice the band went very quiet?
