Wouldn't that violate his own selection rules!

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the team again and do not
wish to waste anymore cyberspace on Peter, G3LET unless and until he
turns it into constructive comment that we can use to improve.

I have been part of the 160SB station for the previous 2 years, doing
it in 2004 as a single op from here on the Sussex Coast and in 2005
with G3UEG & G4AXX from near Chelmsford. I had planned to do 160SB
again this year until I realised in March that I'd got a diary clash
(we had booked to see Pavarotti's last UK Tour this weekend). In the
event Pavarotti cancelled a week ago and I stepped in as part of the
support team.

I'm very happy to manage the 160SB effort next year - and will be
interested to analyse and compare this year with its 3 locations
against previous years. However, one thing I will say is that 160m in
the summer is an acquired taste - and the static crashes and low
rates are definitely a different sort of fun. But like everyone else,
pulling the weak ones out (half sized 5RV at 10ft) is where the real
skill and satisfaction comes. Perhaps some of our armchair critics
don't see that.

73 and thanks to Dave, SL and everyone else for letting me be part of the team
